Current Goal, Acquire Property

Ideally a small home or studio on a piece of land. Friends have built small cabins for under $20,000. Can get small parcel of land for under $15,000. Ideally would like enough room to add more properties. Maybe something like this below

Ideally I would like my payment as low as $500 a month. Could get land and put a temp home on to start. Or get a cheap home and fix up. Open to a shed conversion, container home, pre fabricated home, barndominium or a camper to start. Would like to have a large piece of land so I can invite friends. This is how we lower the cost of living.

If I don’t make a push for it now, it will never happen. I’ve spent over $100,000 in the past 10 years paying rent and have realized I would have that in equity if I had been investing in a property. I would like to stop investing in an expense and start investing that same cash allocation in an asset. I could rent it out, put another property on the land or over time pull out a heloc to acquire another property. Being a smaller investment, not only would the payment be less, I would have the option to pay it down faster. Talk about low stress. Win / Win

If I had no “shelter fee” I would be extreemly well off right now. Could have already paid off my student loans. Could do more art. Could travel more. Read more. Create more. Contribute more to societey. As well as reduce stress on the system from having to hunt relentlessly every month.. for shelter.  This is why I would like to solve this now.
